We/Us/Our/EC4U/ET4U refers to Electrical Training 4U ltd, trading as Electrician Courses 4U.

You, refers to you as either a customer or as a person visiting our website.

Personal Information is information that can be used to identify you as an individual, such as a full name or date of birth.

General Information is information about you that cannot be used to identify you as an individual such as an IP address or the type of device being used to view our website.

Why do we collect information from you?

As a company specialising in the training and awarding of qualifications, we are required for auditing purposes by the exam awarding bodies to retain certain information for a minimum of three years.

We may also collect information on you regarding any special physical or learning needs, this information will be used by us to ensure we can provide the correct level of support required.

What information do we collect from you?

Personal information

As a business the personal information we collect on you is not extensive but will include the following;

Name, Date of birth and Address

Nationality, Ethnicity and country of birth

Any disabilities that may affect your ability to complete the course or may require us to make accommodations.

Any learning difficulties that may affect your ability to complete the course or may require us to make accommodations.

Financial information

Financial information is not retained by us and is only passed on to our third party payment provider Stripe if you have chosen to pay via telephone. If you have paid online via our website our payment provider Stripe handles the payment directly.

General information

No general information about you is retained by us or passed on to any third parties.

Sharing of information

As a company we will only pass on personal information to the two awarding bodies we use, which are City and Guilds and EAL. This will only apply to those who take an exam with us. The information that is passed on to these two bodies will only include;

Name, date of birth and gender

We will never sell, distribute or lease your personal information to any other third party, unless we either have your permission or are required by law to do so.

Retention of information

As previously stated, we retain certain information on you for a minimum of three years, this information is required by the awarding bodies (city and guilds and EAL) to be retained for this period of time as part of theirs and our ongoing quality management processes.

We also hold onto any invoice data we issue for a minimum of six years from the end of the financial year in which it was issued.  We store this information using QuickBooks and it is not shared in anyway.  We are required to this by law,  please use this link to see further details.

If you choose to join our mailing list you will only receive emails from ourselves regarding products and industry news which we think you may find interesting. To facilitate this process we use MailChimp, please view their privacy policy here.

Access to the personal data we may hold on you

All pass-rates stated on the website, brochures, embedded videos, useful resources and blogs were accurate at the time of publishing. These figures were the average pass-rates from August 2011-January 2012.
