This course is designed for anyone who is looking to get started in the domestic electrical market, whether you have little or no experience, or are an associate tradesperson. The course includes three qualifications that will allow you to join a Part P Scheme Provider (depending on experience), so that you can sign off and self certify your own installation work.
This package is exclusive to EC4U, with no other electrician training centre in the UK offering a comparison. It is our most popular electrical course and includes the three core qualifications you need in order to become a qualified electrician, no matter your experience level. What makes this package so different to any other is the week long, hands on experience week held in our purpose built flats, which will give you the confidence and practical skills you need to become a domestic installer.
The 18th Edition Wiring Regulations will be released in July 2018. From then, the 17th Edition Course will not be offered and you will be required to take 18th Edition Course. Find out now what the expected changes are and how long the course will be.
If you are looking to become a domestic electrician, you will need to be aware of Part P of the Building Regulations and demonstrate that your installations meet current regulations. To do this you must be competent and have a good knowledge of the regulations and what they include, such as minor and notifiable work.
The City and Guilds 2392-10 Level 2 Inspection and Testing course covers domestic or similar single phase installation. This qualification is suitable for both those new to the industry and current electricians looking to add to their existing skill set. The course takes place in our 3 purpose built flats, where you get as realistic as possible practical experience. If you want to become confident in your electrical installation skills, then this is the perfect course for you.
Following the IET Code of Practice for Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Installation, this course will ensure you are competent and knowledgeable about electric vehicle charging installations. After completion of the course, combined with a Part P Scheme Membership, you will be able to join the Governments OLEV Scheme and access the grants.

The 17th Edition course is suitable for anyone in the electrical industry, both newcomers and experienced electricians. It is essential to the electrical industry and sets the standard for Wiring Regulations in the UK. It is also a required qualification for joining a Part P Scheme Provider, so that you can sign off and self certify your installation work.
This comprehensive qualification covers a combination of practical training and online/home learning and will allow you, upon completion, to join a Part P Scheme Provider to self certify that your electrical work complies with current Building Regulations.

Samuel took the open book exam and passed the 17th edition qualification successfully. He went on to complete the rest of the 20 day course and is now just about to begin the Experience Week, where he will be able to put his newly learned skills to the test under supervision.
