We specialise in practical electrical training here at Electrician Courses 4U. During your courses with us, we want to make sure you are receiving not only quality training, but realistic training to best prepare you for your new career in electrics.
It’s important that anyone taking on an adult intensive course gets the right practical training, something our MD Nigel Best didn’t experience with his own intensive electrical training 8 years ago. “When I did my training course at a different centre, it lacked any practical experience to prepare me for working in customers homes. We created the Experience Course to fill this gap and make sure we are sending only the best electricians out of our centre.”
We are finding more and more customers are coming to us seeking additional practical training, because, like Nigel, they have not received good enough practical experience in other training centres either.
“It’s nice to have that bit of extra time to brush up on everything, making sure it’s neat and tidy. Before I came here, it was all over the place, so making sure it looks nice, so when people take off a consumer unit front, it looks professional.” One of our previous customers, Raj explains.
Our Experience Course is unique and the only one of its kind in the UK and aims to give our customers the confidence they need, and also allows them to put everything they’ve learnt into practice in a realistic environment.
Our customers enjoy the stress free and relaxed pace of the week, which allows them to focus on their bettering their on-site skills.
“I didn’t have much DIY skills before I came here and it’s been good to put it into practice in the Experience Course; it really rounds the courses up well.” One of previous students, Nick, says.
Within three purpose built flats, our customers have the chance to learn essential DIY skills, gain advice on how to quote and estimate for electrical jobs, follow different practice wiring scenarios, carry out a full consumer unit change, further important fault finding skills and are even taught about 3 phase awareness.
“The trainers have been amazing. I asked a lot of questions and they never undermined me, they always come up with the answers and the theory behind it too.” A past customer, Jay, recalls. “They’ve got a lot of patience and they’ll teach you all the right methods.”
We understand it can be daunting setting yourself up in business and getting the right advice too, which is why we include a marketing talk within the Experience Course too.
Discussing everything from becoming a sole trader or limited company, to managing your accounts, to advertising your new electrical business; we guide you through the best ways to boost your business.
If you are looking to gain some further practical electrical training, then come down to our centre and we will be happy to show you around the facilities available to you!
Dates for our Experience Course are available online and feel free to give us a call to discuss on 01444 872145.Back to blog
