Happy Mother’s Day!

In 2016, Mothers Day falls on 6th March in the UK and is a time for us to celebrate our mums. Around the world, a total of 46 countries celebrate the special day, all at varying times of the year and one of the most popular occasions. Find out why below!

In the UK, the occasion is called Mothering Sunday, with links dating back to the 17th Century. Traditionally, the 4th Sunday in Lent was the day when young servants were given a day off, so they could return home to their Mother church to be with their family.
